OUR IMPACT

EDUCATION

Under Injot Education, we are currently running three programs – Injot Learning Centers for marginalised children in Kokrajhar and Kamrup Metropolitan districts, conducting training for Adivasi youth leaders and volunteers, and our flagship program: Sanghe Urab – a mentorship program for Adivasi youth of Assam.

LIVELIHOOD

Alternative livelihood options for economic self dependence and enterprise is of dire need for Assam’s Adivasi community. Besides running independent livelihood programs, Injot believes in becoming the bridge between the Government and the community by facilitating trainings, providing timely information and networking with government departments.

Injot Livelihood

GENDER

Within any community people of different genders experience marginalisation differently. Women and girls, and trans persons face various issues concerning their well-being, safety and equal opportunity. Our gender related work will be focused on reproductive health and sanitation, women’s health, and interventions to address gender based prejudices, inequalities and violence.

RELIEF

Injot’s work started with our Founder Director leading a relief program (March to September 2020) in Kokrajhar, Karbi-Anglong, Golaghat, Udalguri, Sonitpur, Baksa, Kamrup Metro, Lakhimpur and Kamrup Rural districts for people who had lost their livelihood during the nation-wide lockdown due to the Covid 19. We will continue to work on need-based relief programs in future.
